Always challenging the traditional boundaries of design, Luminaire expanded its Chicago showroom to include a third floor space that reflects the company’s philosophy of ‘essential living.’ This space would inspire people to connect with each other and with the revolving displays of furnishings while expanding their understanding of design in a relaxed, welcoming environment.

Featured on the third floor would be an inviting cafe? where the finest in international teas and coffees can be enjoyed as well as a bookstore complete with artfully drafted design publications, interactive books, and travel guides. The Boffi studio would also grace the third level with kitchen and bath models created by world famous architects who ‘harmonize functionality with an evolved modern design.’

The third floor opening reception was attended by clients, press, design enthusiasts, and design luminaries such as Maarten Van Severen, Ross Lovegrove and Jeffrey Bernett. All guests inducted the interactive space by sharing stories, relaxing at the tea/coffee bar, and enjoying the high-quality work on display.
