Van Duysen's collection of Ceramic Containers is an exercise in restraint, evoking the subtle, but intense color palette of a Northern European sky. Composed of 2 elements, an earthenware container and a wooden plate, they can be used together or as bowl and platter or plinth. Serene and sober, there are slight irregularities in the surface of the clay and the soft weathered grain of the wood, as well as in the dimensions.
