Combining the form of ashtrays from yesteryear with Moroccan ottomans, Patricia Urquiola's Fat Fat becomes an ideal surface for casual objects to be placed within the living room. The sinuous shape is formed to fit a lacquered metal tray; by removing the tray, a storage compartment is revealed within. Covered in synthetic fabric, felt, leather, or pony skin, the orange polyethylene frame is concealed, thus allowing for the soft aesthetic.
