Linen
Naoto Fukasawa
For Linen, Naoto Fukasawa has distorted the line between hard and soft materiality. Using the texture of Japanese cottoned Tofu as a basis for the design for its warm and beautiful qualities, Fukasawa thought that applying a fabric texture onto hard mediums like ceramics could soften the hard and cold feeling of the material. Fukasawa wanted something that is so finely textured that it looks as if a wet fabric is attached to a surface.
