A member of Ingo Maurer's MaMo Nouchies, and created in collaboration with Dagmar Mombach, Jimken takes inspiration from from a traditional Japanese technique of textile dying. No machines are involved: all the operations are performed by hand and up to eight separate treatments are needed. Plain sheets of paper are transformed by folding and pulling the paper, making each piece unique. Composed of paper, stainless steel, silicone and glass. Illuminated by a 50 watt halogen bulb.
