While in Hong Kong, Michael Young was inspired by the tradition of intricately folded paper. He created the Zipzi tables in reaction to the mechanized processes of creating design, wanting to create instead pieces that appeared more hand-crafted.

Interlocking folded paper form the thick highly textured cone shaped base and act as a jacket to a central column. Clear glass tops reveal the full effect. Two side tables and a cafe table are in the collection.
