On the island of Murano, Italy, Tomita Kazuhiko collaborates with master glassmakers to realize modern primitive objects. A spiritual designer and a nomad, Kazuhiko is informed by Japanese lifestyle while cohabiting with European modernism. Drops vase began as drawings on a three-dimensionally curved surface. Dancing between kiln and the working table, glass is blown and then shaped into long, droplet shaped vases. Three shapes on top can be interpreted as splashes bouncing from the drop vase. As practical as they are graceful, these vases add a drop of elegant to any environment.
