Luminaire Hosts Naoto Fukasawa in Chicago

For the past twenty years Luminaire has been in Chicago,  a consistent stream of events and lectures by design luminairies from around the world during Neocon. This year, Luminaire welcomed internationally renowned designer Naoto Fukasawa to its showroom for a special lecture and reception.

Following a captivating lecture at the Museum of Contemporary Art, over 500 guests enjoyed a curated collection of Mr. Fukasawa’s body of work including products for brands such as B&B Italia, Magis, Muji, and Plus Minus Zero which have become sought after design icons.

The dynamic exhibit situated on the third floor of Luminaire’s showroom was the hot spot of the evening. Visitors gazed in amazement upon the comprehensive collection of objects all designed by Mr. Fukasawa. From the impressive Terra Tub for Boffi Spa and the impeccable Grande Papilio Lounge Chair for B&B Italia, to calculators for Plus Minus Zero and a netbook for Samsung, the exhibit examined the cohesive themes between Mr. Fukasawa’s body of work.
