A humble object that brings back memories of simple childhood creativity, toy blocks inspire the imagination. French designer Laurence Calafat revisits the toy box staple and adds a new architectural twist with Archiblocks, a set of building blocks designed to create inspired modular volumes and compositions. The set of 16 pieces is a construction game that aims to spread contemporary architecture to a larger audience. Each piece features corresponding dimensions and angles to seamlessly mix and match together to create a city, contemporary buildings, or even words. Crafted from untreated lime-wood and sanded by hand to reveal an inviting tactile experience, the blocks straddle the line between decorative object and toy. Parents will be happy to have Archiblocks as a clever decorative object and children (and parents too.) will have fun playing with the unique blocks.
