Utiles Glass Fruit Pots
As a designer, Sam Baron loves the way it’s possible to experience a previously unknown locale through its objects and artifacts. This appropriation is apparent in the Utiles Glass Fruit Pots produced in collaboration with Rome-based gallery Secondome. Like a quirky take on ladies handbags, the three fruit bowls combine minimalism with rational Neoclassical design. Hand-blown from sodium silicate glass the vessels are finished with elegant rectangular handles. The Utiles Glass Fruit Pots are a perfect balance of opposites and attention to detail, giving the objects a new and unfamiliar feel.
