Luca Nichetto found inspiration in the compactness and flexibility of serving trays for his Torei Tables, a dynamic collection of small tables in various shapes, sizes and finishes produced by Cassina. Named for the Japanese term for a tray – the family of tables are united by their thick tops in ash wood or American walnut which feature gentle curved edges, refined radiuses, and a subtle lip around their top edges that contain the contents of the tabletop just like their inspiration. The tableâs wooden top is supported by sophisticated and minimal metal legs that give lightness and delicacy to the unique table. Finely crafted by skilled artisans in Italy, the tables represent a commitment to good design and attention to detail. Since they are available in different sizes and heights, the Torei Tableâs various configurations provide true versatility; the table can work independently, in tandem with a sofa, or be arranged with other Torei Tables for a striking architectural assemblage of surfaces.
